The German website katholisch.de has launched a new series featuring Sr Magdalena Winghofer CJ. From Mondays to Fridays, the CJ sister offers a ‘Midday Pause’ – a short midday prayer – on the portal’s YouTube channel.
Katholisch.de is the official news and information portal of the Roman Catholic Church in Germany. It is commissioned by the German Bishops’ Conference and offers daily news reports, spiritual reflections, live broadcasts of church services, and comprehensive background information on matters of faith.
The “Prayer Room” is a YouTube channel run by the editorial team, which currently has around 72,000 subscribers. For several years now, it has offered a daily blessing in the morning and an evening prayer. With the midday prayer, a new offering is being added, along with the channel’s first female presenter.
The midday reflections, lasting between one and one and a half minutes, can be found in the “Shorts” category: www.youtube.com/@gebetsraum/shorts
