“Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer”. Romans 12:12
As I reflect on hope, I see it as a light that guides me and helps me believe in God’s power in my life. The Lord of Hope has been with me in all circumstances of my life.
There are moments of dryness in my spiritual journey, weighed down by my limitations; yet even in those moments, I have never felt abandoned. Hope reminds me that God’s love surpasses my failures. His words continually remind me, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Jeremiah 31:3
At present, my mission is to study. This academic journey brings me in touch with many people – teachers, parents and the youth. When I listen to their stories of struggles, joys, doubts and dreams, I am moved and strengthened. I frequently see God’s work in them and glimpses of grace, courage and transformation. These conversations have helped me experience God’s presence in my daily life. Their trust and openness inspire me a lot. Sharing life with them gives me joy and keeps the flame of hope alive in my heart.
My small community consists of three members: two elderly sisters and me. My life with them teaches me to be patient, responsible and hardworking. They inspire me to adopt a simple way of living. My community, a living source of hope, encourages me to live in joy, unwavering faith and rooted in Christ.
“Let us fill our lives with the gift of hope that God gives us, and through us, let us allow it to reach everyone who is looking for it”. Pope Francis.
