Podcast with Sr Simone CJ

Germany

Be with people who have lost their home, their belongings, their hope: Sr Simone has done that and tells about her experiences in a podcast.

What does it feel like to be called by God to something new? What can a retreat bring about, and how can a Sister of the CJ respond to such a call?

Sr Simone Remmert CJ from Germany experienced such a call – and followed it, supported by her fellow sisters from her province. In recent years, she has been working alongside the people of the Ahr Valley, a region in Germany that was hit by a devastating flood disaster in 2021. There were deaths and injuries, and thousands of people lost their homes and all their possessions. As well as reconstruction, what they needed most of all was someone to listen to them. People who were simply there, by their side, giving them hope to carry on. In a podcast, Sr Simone now talks about her experiences.
