I received this nativity scene from South Tyrol before the beginning of this Advent. It came from my grandmother Erna, who passed away 20 years ago. She used to bake biscuits for Christmas with my sister and me. This year I am happy that the wood-carved figures have found their way into my own home for the first time. And I am grateful for what loving moments she has passed on to me – the wonderful recipe of her nut cake and childhood memories of celebrations and the special magic of Christmas 🎄
