On 1 April 2021, Sr Silvia Ruiz CJ will begin her mission as the new Provincial of the new Amerindian Province, composed of the former Argentinian, Brazilian and Chilean Provinces. After a long journey of searching, prayer and discernment, the three Provinces agreed to unite to one new Amerindian Province. We thank Sr Margarita Riquelme of the former Chilean Province, Sr Maria Helena Gabai of the former Brazilian Province and Sr. Silvia Ruiz of the former Argentinian Province for all they have done for the sisters in their Provinces and for all the efforts to make steps towards union.  Sr. Silvia Ruiz will now continue to take responsibility for all the CJ sisters in South America.

We, the sisters of the Generalate, wish Sr Silvia and her council an abundance of God’s blessings for the coming six years of her term of office. We will ask the Holy Spirit to be with her so that she can lead the province in love and discernment. We assure her of our prayer and support as she begins her new mission.
