After having spent quality time in reflecting on Mary Ward Week Booklet from 23rd January to 30th January 2022, we the Generalate communities of both the CJ and the IBVM gathered together on 29th January 2022 at CJ Generalate to celebrate the Death Anniversary of our foundress Venerable Mary Ward.
To share the real joy of the day and to make this event more meaningful a few of our friends were invited to be part of the celebration. Fr. Fratern Masawe SJ and Fr. John Dardis SJ concelebrated the Holy Eucharist for us. The liturgy was well organized, very solemn and meaningful. All of us gathered, took part in it actively and devoutly. It was a great moment for recalling all who follow Mary Ward’s Charism. Fr. Fratern in his homily reminded us to continue to live in the spirit of Mary Ward by interpreting the challenging needs of our times more creatively as she did in her time.
After the celebration of the Holy Eucharist a festive and delicious agape was served. At the end of the meal the synchronized singing stimulated positive energy within everyone and there was increased spontaneity and joyful breaking out into universal melodies! It was indeed a memorable celebration and coming together.
