European Day against Human Trafficking

On October 18th, Sr. Adina Bălan CJ was one of the panellists at the event organised by the British Embassy to the Holy See and Talitha Kum Network to mark the European Day against Human Trafficking.

Education to tackle modern slavery and empower survivors was the theme of the meeting. The panel focused on anti-trafficking and prevention work and education as a tool to engage and empower the most vulnerable, including trafficking survivors.

Participants from St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and women religious shared their experiences at the academic and research level, and of working with victims and survivors on the ground.
