Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, and for this reason, we want to address a special prayer to our Heavenly Mother. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church states “God freely chose Mary from all eternity to be the Mother of his Son; to fulfil this mission she was conceived immaculate” and it is to Her that we entrust ourselves, today in a special way:
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen
