The Lord is risen, let us celebrate him! The resurrection of Christ brings hope into our lives and helps us to bear witness to Him. A Chilean sister of the Congregation of the Good Shepherd, Sister Nelly Leon Correa, known as “Mother Nelly”, “mother of prisoners”, is one of the women who becomes aware of people on the margins of society. Sister Nelly received the Award Zayed 2024 for Human Fraternity for working selflessly and tirelessly across differences to promote the timeless values of solidarity, integrity, equity and optimism and create progress towards peaceful coexistence. May her life and activities inspire us to bear witness to the Risen One in our time.
